Life of Fiber

Goat Portraits

During my time photographing the Laughing Goat Fiber Farm, I came to know and love the friendly goats I met there. Each one has such a big and unique personality. Some are affectionate, some are vocal, some are silly, some are observant. I’d walk into the barn to hear the symphony of individuals bleating for attention or food. The young kids would run around at my feet, even crawling up my back if I knelt down to take a picture. This series of goat portraits didn’t make it in the final essay – but they are some of my favorite images, highlighting the personality, intelligence, and humanism of each individual.
